For me, Broderie anglaise is the epitome of summer fabrics. In the 19th century it was mainly used on nightwear and underclothing. Nowadays, it’s often used for sundresses or light shirt dresses like the one I’m wearing today. Due to the tiny eyelets the material is perfect for when it’s really hot or humid outside.
As I have managed to contract the first cold of the year I was pretty much down for the last week. The week before that Berlin actually graced us with a few golden autumn days. Continue reading
