The Perfect Playsuit | FRIDAY FIND

It’s hard to find the perfect all-in-one. There was a time when I used to think that’s impossible.

And a few years ago I wouldn’t even have considered incorporating playsuits or overalls into my wardrobe. I simply hated the look of them. I have come to the point now where I grudgingly admit that they are a nice option for summer. Given the circumstance that I increasingly bike to work lately I have resolved to give jumpsuits another chance. A skirt or dress can be really tricky on a bike so I have been looking for alternatives…and browsing my favourite online haunts (MatchesFashion and Outnet are UK based and also deliver to Germany!) I have unearthed a few rather nice ones. So here’s a selection of my current favourites.

While black and white are the obvious, classic choices I also rather fancy summery floral prints like the banana leaf pattern featured above. Diane von Furstenberg’s printed silk jersey is great for wearing all year round though. The simple monochrome silk romper by Joie seems a nice dressy option for the summer. Of course, black and white is probably most versatile and can be styled with bright accessories for a polished look. We’ll see…
