Urban Street Style

Today’s outfit is relatively urban as it’s centered on cool shades with an oversized plaid shirt dress and silver metallic chelsea boots.

Truth be told, the oversize trend has not been one of my favourites as I somehow prefer well-fitting styles that emphasize the silhouette. Once in a while a cozy oversize flannel shirt dress can come in handy though, especially when you feel like something low-maintenance. As you can probably guess from the lighting in the pictures Berlin has had its fair share of rain so my silver Melvin&Hamilton chelsea boots seemed like the perfect thing. I have noticed lately that I seem to gravitate towards metallics when the weather is dull. They can have a really mood-lifting effect. They also serve as a bright spot in this otherwise monochromatic outfit.

I have to admit that this Monki dress is extremely comfortable but the oversized style is really very pronounced – I’m wearing a size S here. It has a fun high-low cut and comfy long sleeves though. My necklace has a little black umbrella on it. It is by Tatty Devine, a British designer that just recently came to my attention when I was browsing though the Asos online shop. I just really like cute pieces of jewellery and thought the whimsical quality of the umbrella motif here was quite fitting.

Dark tight season has definitely started here in Berlin so I added a semi-sheer and an olive purse. The latter is from one of my favourite brands for leather accessories, Becksöndergaard and made of very soft eelskin leather.
