Life Lately – Insta Recap #2

floral rain boots

It’s been a while since I posted my last life recap so here’s a little roundup of what’s been going on these last few weeks.

Needless to say, there was no shortage of #rainydays in February and March so I tried making the most of it. Wearing my new wellies with florals (in hopes of spring).

  • I’ve been visiting my family recently and there’s been sad news. I may talk about this later but emotions are just too raw at the moment.
  • On to the positive: Last week I visited my goddaughter – she is a heifer (i.e. a young cow) living on a farm close to where I grew up, here to be exact. I’ve been sponsoring her for almost 5 years now and I try to visit whenever I’m in the area. 3 kilos of carrots were gone in an instant. The herd is so incredibly adorable – I love them all! Another reason to #govegan
  • Beautywise I’ve been really impressed with #MakeupRevolution: their palettes are really versatile, and colour payoff and pigmentation are great value for your money.
  • Despite resolving to actually get back into an exercise routine and readjusting my eating habits to a more healthy baseline, the turmoil of the last few months’ made me overeat on sugar on more than one occasion. I’ve been going to #yoga and #zumba classes though and it’s darn good working those muscles. Every little step counts, right?

    Liebe Christina,

I’m sorry to hear about the fact there were some sad news in your life. I don’t know what exactly those are, but I know that anything unpleasant or unfortunate considering the circle of our loved ones or our family is always very difficult and emotionally draining….some things never get easier.

That story about having a goddaughter cow warmed my heart….I love cows…and animals in general. So cool you’re sponsoring this young cow- and that she ate so many carrots. Cows have such warm eyes, don’t they? It is the most adorable thing about them.

I have a funny story to share…I spent most of my childhood on island Hvar and there weren’t any cows there. The other part was spent in my hometown where there aren’t any cows either. So, once when we were on a ferry, going to the island, my mother saw what she thought was a truck full of cows. In fact, these were bulls not cows but my mother (never having seen a cow in her life) didn’t know the difference. She raised us to the truck to show us ‘the cows’. At that point, the bulls got restless and the driver came out and yelled at my mother. The bulls almost turned the truck on its side, the driver barely managed to calm them down. I still laugh when I remember that, I suppose all is well that ends well. :):)

  17. Traude "Rostrose"

    Hallo Christina,
Du hast also eine Jungkuh-Patentochter?
    Traude

This is such a brilliant recap of your week and seems like it has been quite the emotional rollercoaster for you. I have yet to try anything from Makeup Revolution, the price is not as cheap here in Canada.
