Autumn in Berlin has been quite beautiful this year. Now that winter is surely coming – we had the first light drizzle of snow last weekend – I took the time to put together some impressions of the last few months.
Contrary to most people I’m not quite ready for Christmas yet. I have to admit I’m not a huge fan of the hustle and bustle Christmas seems to ignite in most people. It stresses me more than it is enjoyable and it usually takes me a while to get into the spirit. However, there are some things I like about this season:
- Coming home from the cold to a hot cup of steaming tea
- Baking cookies and decorating them
- Mulled wine
- Having a warm dog on one’s lap in the evenings
- Walking in the falling snow
