Vintage Nautical | LOOK – Caliope Couture

As a lover of all things stripey I decided to style a nautical themed outfit – with two different shoe options.

I chose the red Tamaris patent leather pumps for a more elegant, vintage vibe. I especially love the kitten heel, so 60’s and feminine. The red splash of colour is reflected in my new Essie nail colour: Be my date red. A very lovely, vintage red which may become one of my favourites.

For a modern twist I like the white faux velours slippers by H&M. They have contrast edging and a modern animal dot print. The different black and white patterns make for a nice ensemble. The light cotton hat with black trim and bow takes up this theme. The H&M nautical necklace is one of those accessories you’ve had for ages but have only recently rediscovered. It seemed perfect for this outfit with the little anchor, pearl and steering wheel charms.

To go with all this I chose an Aigner shoulder bag which is one of my all-time favourites – very soft shingled leather in a classic shade. Fabulous craftsmanship and just so versatile as it is just the right size.The best thing is that the metal details are all silver coloured – one of my personal prerequisites of a great bag.
