Canvas Bags are always popular in summer. That seems to be largely due to their woven textile quality which is usually not overly suited to rain or snowy weather as natural fibers tend to get soaked.

The romper has become a favourite for casual city looks this summer! I am lucky that my workplace allows informal dressing so these comfortable all-in-ones have been a staple these past few weeks.
We are in the midst of another heatwave here in Berlin and it’s taking its toll. We actually hit 35°C last Friday which can be quite exhausting in the city. I was so tired all over the weekend, I cuddled up with the dogs and slept most of the day. Thermoregulation works in mysterious ways. Lucky for us there are some hacks that can make your life much more comfortable during a heatwave. Here are 5 of my favourite tricks for staying happy and comfortable despite the temperatures.
What I miss most in summer since moving to the city is the peace and happiness of days spent in the garden. There is something so inadvertantly peaceful about spaces full of cultured plants.
Germany is once more facing record-breaking temperatures this weekend. I decided to go bohemian in an all black look nevertheless but chose a flowy maxi dress. I can’t get enough of straw hats lately so when I saw this one by Anna Field with its subtle ombré effect I was instantly taken. It goes rather well with the woven straw wedge of my peeptoes. The Esprit dress I’m wearing is relatively comfortable even in the heat. I especially like the lace insert top. My necklace is an original gingko leaf coated with sterling silver by HD Berlin. They use real leaves for their jewellery and this makes every one of their items unique.
It’s already the beginning of August – and I can’t believe how fast the year is going by. Nevertheless, I have taken the time to look back on July’s outfits. I just love a good outfit recap as it’s a great way to keep track of the different styles and ensembles worn each month!
