Time for a little overview of my June outfits which were quite heavy on typical summer details like florals, eyelets and the off-shoulder style.
As the last outfit post of the month I decided to bring you a fun fifties inspired denim look today.
Patches and denim have made a huge comeback last fall and are still trending pretty much right now. Especially now in summer a denim shorts with patches can brighten up an otherwise nondescript look. I can sneak peak you that there will be a post about patches on the blog soon. On the other hand, I think that pins are a cool alternative. Especially as you can take them off again when you don’t feel like making a particular statement.
I mentioned in one of my last Friday Finds posts that I had recently fallen in love with denim dresses. The retro version of this casual classic seems to be everywhere this summer. So I finally decided to get this midi dress from the Esprit summer collection.
I quite like the current denim trend and especially denim dresses have caught my eye lately. All of these have a charming retro cut and could be embellished with pins or brooches.
First and foremost, fashion should be fun. That’s why I’m taking you on a little time travel to the 70s today. You will have noticed that a lot of retro styles have reemerged as current trends. Let’s start September off with yet another very relaxed casual outfit. Key piece here is this boyfriend fit jeans with destroyed patches by clockhouse via C&A. What I like about this jeans is that the studs and metal details are rose gold coloured. It’s a nice light denim that’s great for the transitional period.
One of those bright, but still chilly days when winter wasn’t quite ready to loosen it’s grasp. Perfect for a light wool blend coat.
In my mind, a cream-coloured coat is a must-have in every wardrobe. A true fashion staple. On days like this, I love combining it with a light shirt and boots. Add distressed denims for an edgy look and you’re dressed for the city.
