#rpTEN: entrance hall
The first half of the year is almost over – time for a little lifestyle roundup of the last two months or so. If you follow me on instagram you may have seen one or the other of these pictures already. But it’s always nice to look back at some of the highlights of the last weeks in pictures.
Today’s outfit is a bit of an artistic one and can’t really be called an outfit…it’s rather a black and white combination with bohemian undertones. I decided to call this boho ballerina because of the boho vibes…
Coloured mascara is a mixed bag for me – I catch myself craving a bit of colour on my lashes now and then but coloured mascara and I aren’t really friends.
For me, Broderie anglaise is the epitome of summer fabrics. In the 19th century it was mainly used on nightwear and underclothing. Nowadays, it’s often used for sundresses or light shirt dresses like the one I’m wearing today. Due to the tiny eyelets the material is perfect for when it’s really hot or humid outside.
Patches and denim have made a huge comeback last fall and are still trending pretty much right now. Especially now in summer a denim shorts with patches can brighten up an otherwise nondescript look. I can sneak peak you that there will be a post about patches on the blog soon. On the other hand, I think that pins are a cool alternative. Especially as you can take them off again when you don’t feel like making a particular statement.
May was a weird month – for me at least. And an incredibly slow one with a motivational low right about the time when the weather started to really feel like summer here in Berlin.
I mentioned in one of my last Friday Finds posts that I had recently fallen in love with denim dresses. The retro version of this casual classic seems to be everywhere this summer. So I finally decided to get this midi dress from the Esprit summer collection.
Another casual outfit this time. And this is an unusual look for me as I’m wearing sneakers with a dress for once! But given the casual nature of this look I felt that sneakers would be appropriate. Continue reading
