Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you! Today’s OOTD is a very classic look that could be worn to a date in a nice restaurant or a more formal event.
I’m not usually very keen on going out for Valentine’s but I always enjoy getting dolled up so I decided against a casual look for today. Red being the colour of love I had to incorporate my red patent leather kitten heels by Tamaris. The other Valentine’s themed item in this outfit is my Burberry chiffon silk scarf from the 2009 heart collection. I loved that collection so much that I actually hunted for several pieces from it later on ebay. And I was quite lucky to get a few statement pieces at a much better price. Although I’m not usually one for heart prints in general, the confetti heart print on this scarf mingles so subtly with the iconic check that it’s a great accessory for adding a playful vibe.
The dark brown Hugo dress I’m wearing under my cream coat is made of sheer silk and another luxury sale find I usually reserve for special occasions. It’s one of those pieces that just never go out of style.
These Pixie Lobe Cuff earrings by Ca & Lou are undoubtedly my latest love affair. I have been coveting them for months now and when they were finally on sale at matchesfashion, I just couldn’t resist. They incorporate several Swarovski crystals that add a nice sparkle. What I especially like about them is that you can wear them either with or without the lobe piece, so this is actually a rather versatile piece of jewellery. Considering how obsessed I am with them, I will probably show you more pictures of them in posts to come.
